NEW Clubbercise classes coming to Vicars Cross Community Centre from March 13th 2024.

What happens in a Clubbercise class?

You'll work up a sweat in a darkened room with disco lights exercising to a soundtrack of club anthems from 90′s classics to the latest chart hits. Clubbercise routines are a mix of dance, toning and combat, they are easy-to-follow and always have high or low impact options to suit all fitness levels. You'll use a pair of our trademark flashing LED glow sticks throughout the class, these are both reusable and recyclable so much more environmentally friendly than the single-use ones. It's all about fun, not about perfection. Take it to your level, keep it simple and enjoy the music.

Do I need to be a good dancer?

Definitely not! Our routines combine dance, toning and combat moves, we deliberately make them easy-to-follow so you can relax and enjoy it rather than worrying about getting the steps wrong. 

How much is it?

£5 per class (with option of purchasing Glowsticks for additional £5). Spaces are limited therefore booking is recommended. 

What should I wear/bring?

Just trainers/sneakers and sportswear/fitness clothing… Neon is optional! And make sure you bring some water.

Ali's sessions take a traditional aerobics style approach with the key emphasis being fun! The classes have been running for 31 years at the community centre site and still has some of its original members! All abilities are welcome as the session can be done high or low impact to suit. The sessions are 60 mins with time for a tea, coffee and a natter afterwards. . Price is £5 per session (includes coffee/ tea).

Babyballet is a fun, award-winning pre-school dance concept for girls and boys from 6 months to 6 years. With a real focus on learning through play, the unique babyballet syllabus offers four key stages of ballet and tap classes where every child can build their confidence and social skills, learning manners, discipline and respect while developing their basic ballet technique, coordination, musicality, balance, posture and rhythm.

Babyballet's fully qualified, friendly and engaging dance teachers are joined in class by the babyballet bears, Twinkle & Teddy, who help to encourage all the little stars to interact and share as they learn to dance without any pressure.

Vicars Cross Baby and Toddler Group


Vicars Cross Community Centre has been the home of Vicars Cross Shotokan Karate club, for the last three years or so. Shotokan Karate is the most widely practised style of karate throughout the world.
Karate can boast many health benefits, some of which include: improved flexibility, co-ordination, posture, confidence, balance and feeling part of a like minded community.
We are a family friendly club, teaching both adults and children (over the age of six). We work to a structured syllabus, which enables students to enjoy and progress through the grades, at their own pace.
Gradings take place approximately every three months, and senior/guest instructors also visit on a regular basis.
Training is every Tuesday and Friday evening at the community centre.
